Customs Charges, Fees and Taxes

When sending orders to addresses outside the USA, it is important to be aware that additional charges, taxes or fees determined by local customs in the destination country may apply. Any import duties, customs fees, taxes or other charges are the sole responsibility of the customer. We recommend that customers contact their local customs office for precise information on the charges applicable to their international orders.

International returns

At JDJ Ourivesaria, we have extended our returns policy to up to 15 days for all orders sent outside the USA. Customers can return items to our address in Portugal within this extended period. It is important to note that the customer is responsible for all shipping costs, duties, VAT and taxes incurred when returning the item(s) to JDJ Ourivesaria. We do not accept COD (Cash on Delivery) returns.

If the customer has paid any duties, VAT or taxes to the carrier at the time of delivery of the parcel, it is their responsibility to contact the carrier to request any applicable refund.

In the event that a parcel is refused at customs by the customer, or if the customer is not available to receive the parcel from the carrier and JDJ Goldsmiths is charged for return shipping costs, duties, VAT or taxes, the customer will be responsible for all costs related to the outgoing and return shipment of the parcel. Such costs will be deducted from the original sale amount when the refund is processed.

We recommend using reliable transport services such as UPS or Federal Express to return the item(s) to us. However, the choice of return carrier is the customer's alone.
